Baron Sigmund von Kripp founded the vineyard estate Castle Stachlburg in the year 1990 and had the first vineyards laid out at that time with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Since 1992, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Ruländer/Pinot Gris, Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer, Vernatsch, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Regent and Lagrein have been cultivated here, as well as sparkling wine using the champagne method. In 1998 we transformed our fruit-growing and wine-growing establishment into an ecological farm and have been a Bioland member since then. Our vineyards are situated at 650 metres above sea level on the grounds of Partschins/Parcines. Here, intensive wines, all processed with greatest care in steel tanks or barriques, thrive on the sunny hillside facing south. Our wines are distinguished by elegant acidity and a delicate structure. Sunny exposure and deliberate thinning of the grapes generate forceful wines.
