For generations the Niedermayr family have dedicated themselves to winegrowing. They cultivate an area of 3.3 hectares, extending from the eastern foot of the Gandberg at 520 metres above sea level. Apples are grown in the valley, whereas 2 hectares of vineyards are located on the hillsides facing southeast, at the end of the Pinot Blanc area of Eppan Berg/Appiano Monte. The profound, lightly alkaline soil of the vineyards provides ideal conditions for an outstanding Pinot Blanc, but also for newer grape varieties. Since 1991, the winery is a member of Bioland, operating according to strict organic-biological principles, and since 1993 the family has pressed their own grapes on the estate in their own cellar. The winery produces about 12.000 bottles annually, above all Pinot Blanc, Bronner, and the white wines "Sonnrain" (Solaris) and "Nova", as well as the red wine "Beerl".
