Pfannenstielhof, mentioned in documents for the first time in 1561 and the property of the Pfeifer family for close to 200 years, is situated in the midst of the vineyards located in the valley on the eastern border of Bozen/Bolzano. The family strives for a natural, integrated manner of cultivation. This requires meticulous manual work, during the winter cutting, the defoliating, the reduction of yield and the grape harvest. The premium grapes, maturing for several months in the vineyard, are refined to precious wines in the estate’s ancient cellars. The results are high-quality wines, typical of their location and grape variety and convincing for their authenticity and individuality: St. Magdalener Classico, Lagrein Rosè, Lagrein vom Boden and Lagrein Riserva. The family have been delighted to experience the acknowledgement of their work at several national and international award ceremonies. Wines can be tasted and purchased directly at the estate.
