Messnerhof is one of the earliest farmsteads in St. Peter/S. Pietro and has belonged to the Pichler family for approximately 100 years. For generations they have been dedicating themselves to viniculture. The estate is situated in the classic St. Magdalener cultivation area, and covers three vineyards with an area of 2.9 hectares. In 2003, the wine-grower Bernhard Pichler realised his childhood ambition to produce wine himself, from the grape to the bottle. Thus, all the way from processing the grapes to labelling and cellaring the bottles takes place at the vineyard. For years ecological management, natural greening and the non-use of herbicides have been standard at Messnerhof. The ecological balance in the vineyard also provides balanced growth for the grapes. The sustainable production of authentic wines gives rise to their distinct character. In this way every vintage has its own unique bouquet.
