The Wehrburg Castle winery is situated in a fantastic location on the edge of the village of Prissian close to Tisens. Thus, the long tradition of the house manifests itself also in the noble wines produced at its own winery. The Holzner family cultivates 2.5 ha of vineyards around Wehrburg Castle, which extend at a height of 500 m a.s.l. along the beautiful low mountain terraces of the Etschtal/Adige Valley. Our wines reflect their unique environment and the special nature of this territory, the vineyard, the soil and the mild climate of Prissian. Varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Bianco are grown here, along with Vernatsch, Pinot Nero and Zweigelt. The processing of the grapes combines expertise and experience with modern technology, in order to create delicate wines of authentic quality and character.
