Innerleiterhof is situated on the sunny slopes between Meran/Merano and Schenna/Scena, 450 metres above sea level. The vineyard is 1.3 hectares in size. The name of the farm originates from the Tyrolean word Leite, meaning a steep slope. The Egger family has owned the farm since 1947. "In 2010 we converted our parent’s property, on which our mother Emma Prinoth had run a popular family hotel since the seventies, into a vineyard with a private winery." Karin Egger-Pichler and her mother Emmi tend to the hotel; her husband Karl and her father tend to winery and winegrowing. "We started to cellar our wine ourselves in 2011. Our main varieties are Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, but we also press Vernatsch, Sauvignon and the Merlot-Lagrein-Cuvée ‘Roaner’."
