The first recorded mention of Rielingerhof in Ritten/Renon was in the 13th century, as a winery for the lords of Castle Stein. The Messner family bought and renovated the farm in 1956. Besides farming, they also operate a wine restaurant and offer farm holidays. They have always provided home-grown wine for their guests, with the rest of the harvest being consigned to the consortium. However, since 2011 the entire vintage is now processed at the farm. The two hectares of vineyards are situated on a southern slope with a gradient rising up to 75%, making it ideal for mineral-fruity wines. The premium grapes from the vineyard are refined in the farm cellar. The Messner family make the white wines Blatterle, Müller-Thurgau and Kerner and the red wines Vernatsch and Zweigelt, as well as the dessert wine Passito.
