Turmhof, whose tradition dates back to the 15th century, is situated in one of the oldest wine-growing districts in Europe, Kurtinig an der Weinstraße/Cortina sulla Strada del Vino. The family establishment is cultivated jointly by Martin Teutsch, his wife Carmen and their sons Florian and Thomas. The mild climate around the vineyard estate Turmhof in the southern part of Etschtal/Val d'Adige enables the cultivation of different varieties of red and white grapes, such as Gewürztraminer and Cabernet Rosé, Vernatsch, Teroldego, Lagrein, Cabernet and Merlot. The family Teutsch has committed themselves to wine-growing for generations. The uncle of the current owner already ran a wine store in the 1950s. In the past years the establishment has specialised above all in the cultivation of red wines. Two outstanding cuvées – "Kleinvenedig" and "Kleinvenedig Premium" – have been created in this way.
