Vinea Tirolensis 2024

Vinea Tirolensis’ is the window on the independent winegrowers of South Tyrol, those winegrowers whose wines come from a single source, from the grape to the bottle. This year, the event will take place on Wednesday, 23 October – as usual as part of the Messe Hotel in Bolzano in the H1 Eventspace. Interesting guests have also been invited this year: the South Tyrolean cider producers.

Hoteliers and restaurateurs in particular meet at the ‘Hotel’ trade fair in Bolzano, precisely the target group that the Free Winegrowers of South Tyrol want to reach with their ‘Vinea Tirolensis’. This year, no fewer than 84 of the now 117 member wineries will be presenting their wines at the wide-ranging tasting event – a record in the history of the independent winegrowers, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.
The Association of Independent Winegrowers was founded as an association of all those South Tyrolean producers for whom everything comes from a single source – from the vineyard to the bottle. They not only grow their grapes, but also vinify them themselves and market the resulting authentic, high-quality, artisanal wines on their own initiative. Offering these individualists a common platform is the aim of the Association of Independent Winegrowers, which facilitates an exchange between the independent winegrowers, ensures their political representation, organises tastings and presentations and, last but not least, sets up the Vinea Tirolensis.

At this event, the independent winegrowers traditionally present themselves to a wide audience year after year – first and foremost to restaurateurs and hoteliers. The aim is to give them the opportunity to taste the wide range of products offered by the independent winegrowers, familiarise themselves with the numerous labels and also exchange ideas with the winegrowers.
This year’s ‘Vinea Tirolensis’ will therefore once again take place as part of the ‘Hotel’ trade fair in Bolzano on Wednesday, 23 October from 10.00 to 17.00 in the large H1 hall. The wines of the independent winegrowers will be accompanied by creative dishes from the Stanglerhof in Fiè.

In addition, interesting guests have been invited to this year’s ‘Vinea Tirolensis’. These are the producers of apple cider with the South Tyrolean quality label. Cider is an apple-based drink with a low alcohol content that is primarily seen as an alternative to traditional aperitif drinks and must fulfil strict quality criteria in order to bear the South Tyrolean quality mark.
