Bessererhof is the southernmost vineyard estate in Eisacktal/Valle d'Isarco. In the summer, its proximity to the Bolzano Basin ensures hot days, but the geographic location has cool nights. This natural connection provides the ground for the particular wines from Bessererhof. Our family establishment has been growing wine for more than 60 years, and we, Otmar and Rosmarie Mair with our sons Philipp and Hannes, have been producing our own wine since 1998. Moreover, we have produced Pinot Blanc since 2011, and since 2012 Kerner in Völs am Schlern/Fiè allo Sciliar at 800 metres above sea level. In 2011 we bottled a Chardonnay Riserva 2004 "fellis" for the first time. We produce the red Vernatsch and the Zweigelt "Roan" along with Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay Riserva, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Goldmuskateller. Cultivating our vineyards on the steep hillsides is part of our passion to create premium-quality wines. 30,000 to 35,000 bottles are produced every year.
