Biedermannhof is situated in Tscherms/Cermes below the medieval Castle Lebenberg, and has already been family property for eleven generations. The vineyard was first mentioned in documents at the end of the 14th century, at which time wine was already cultivated here. The vines are located around the farm at about 350 metres above sea level, facing southeast on a moraine hillside typical for the Etschtal/Val d'Adige, resulting from sedimentation during the glacial period. Our vineyards are situated on this exceptional terroir. We contribute to the natural biological balance of the vines by working gently in our vineyards. In this way, fruity white wines with a mineral note such as our Pinot Blanc and full-bodied red wines like Lagrein and Merlot are cultivated at our winery.
