Where man and nature shape the wine
Our wines are characterized by the meeting of the Alpine and Mediterranean worlds, thus they become deep, full-bodied, and well-structured, giving expression to all our visions and passions. We materialize our ideas in a glass of great wine, which begins in the vineyards on approximately 4.5 hectares in South Tyrol in the village of Atzwang, which belongs to the municipality of Renon. Here, in sight of the beautiful Rosengarten mountain massif, we have followed a tradition of hand-crafted wines for three generations. In our vineyard, with its Guyot vine canopies up to 40 years old, thrive the varietals of the Ebner winery. We cultivate the vineyard almost entirely by hand and in a sustainable way, and thus ensure that the vines remain viable for a long time.

In the rather exposed location amidst the southern Isarco Valley, high above the Isarco river, at 450-550 m a.s.l., we keep our soil fertile with natural, organic manure. In order to strictly maintain the quality of our Veltliner, Pinot Blanc and Noir, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon and Verna varietals, we from the Unterthiner family completely reject herbicides, and other such chemicals. Our vines extract all the nutrients they need from deep in the soil. Therefore, they are only irrigated in extreme drought situations, as this is the best way to strengthen the roots of the vines.

With the class of 2013, a desire that matured for a long time was finally realized. We succeeded in the vinification of a larger quantity of grapes – thus allowing us to share the unique experience of our red and white wines with more wine lovers everywhere.
