Kaltern/Caldaro is most likely the best renowned wine-growing village in South Tyrol, situated in the Southern Überetsch region. Surrounded by vineyards with classic pergolas, Kaltern produces its own autochthonous wine, the Kalterer See from the Vernatsch grape, denominated after the area. Here lies the Arkahof farm surrounded by three hectares of vineyards. The owner, Roland Sölva, cultivates red and white varietals and produces and vinifies a huge variety of high quality red and white wines of unmistakable character in the farm’s wine cellar, such as the red Vernatsch (Schiava), Pinot Noir and Lagrein, or white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Yellow Muscat. Not to mention the premium red Lagrein Riserva. The fine wines of Arkahof can be purchased right at the farm shop.
